When moving, you know you’ve done a good job cleaning up and donating bags and bags of items to various charities, the good will (plus a few DUMP runs), when the rest |
of your “treasures” fit in your Honda Ridgeline and Hyundai Santa Fe.
Good thing our daughter Kristine & son-in-law Richard have
lots of extra parking spots at their home. |
As you can see this is a 5***** “Resort” and |
as my friend Tami said, “Well, if you have to be homeless it may as well look like this-Right”. |
Lots of activities also took place:
Richard got his son Austin (age 20) a new vehicle… (used 2003 Ford Explorer), which, after many hugs, he gleefully
squeezed into and headed off to his place!Of course there was lots of visiting and eating during our 5-day stay. And yours truly (who doesn’t like to cook) dove in to help Kristine dice & chop and create some fabulous Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Peppers.
We enjoyed some walks and talks, and |
a little geocaching and got a |
lot of "dog fixes" from Toby & Latte. |
Richard showed us how to quickly turn a defunct flower bed into |
a useful vegetable patch. He dug the holes & |
Kristine planted tomatoes, peppers & squash and added some fill dirt, while Richard hooked up the drip system. |
A few pieces of garden art were added to decorate the open area until the veggies took over. All that in about an hour at mid-50 year old speed. Must have been the great supervision they received from a couple of 80 year olds!!!
Next on the agenda, "The Last Supper". |
